In short: we only collect what you type into our forms, we use it only to reply to you, we don't use cookies or trackers, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
This website, milomi.org, is operated by MILOMI PRIVATE LIMITED ("MILOMI", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India with Corporate Identification Number U70200MR2026PTC475344 and its registered office at Mauli Bungalow, House No 85, Pohi, Post Kalamb, Taluka Karjat, District Raigad, Neral, Maharashtra 410101, India.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. It is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and is written to meet the notice requirements of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.
What we collect
Information you give us
We only receive personal data when you choose to send it through one of our two forms:
- Contact form (Contact page): your name, email address, organisation (optional) and your message.
- "Connect with MILOMI" form (Home page): whether you are an innovator or founder, investor, or government or partner organisation; your name and email address; your venture, fund or organisation name; the sector, focus and type of support or engagement you select; and your message.
Please don't include sensitive personal data such as passwords, bank or card details, health information or identity document numbers in your message. We don't ask for it and don't need it.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our web server keeps a standard access log for security and troubleshooting: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, and your browser's user-agent string. Our form service records only the time and the page a message was sent from — not your details. The website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare (see "Who receives it"), which processes the same kind of connection data to deliver pages and block attacks.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies, and uses no analytics, advertising trackers, social media pixels or third-party embeds. Our fonts, images and videos come from our own server through Cloudflare, so no other company receives your visit for marketing or tracking.
If Cloudflare needs to check whether traffic is automated, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance). It is used only to protect the website, not to track you.
Why we use it
- To read and reply to your enquiry, and to follow up on the collaboration, support or engagement you asked about.
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse, such as spam and attacks (using server logs and rate limits).
- To meet our legal obligations.
We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
Your consent
By sending a form, you consent to us using the details you provide for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to our Grievance Officer (below). We will then stop using your data and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did lawfully before.
Who receives it
- The MILOMI team members who need it to respond to you.
- Google, which provides our company mailbox (Gmail). Form messages are delivered to that mailbox, and Google may store them on servers outside India under its own security and privacy commitments.
- Our hosting provider, Oracle (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), on servers located in India, which runs the server this website and its form service operate on.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the website to you and protects it from attacks. Your connection, including your IP address and any form you send, passes through Cloudflare's network, which may process it in other countries under Cloudflare's security and privacy commitments.
- Authorities, if we are required to by law, court order or a lawful request from a government agency.
We don't share your personal data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Form messages: for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up, and then for no more than 24 months after our last contact with you — unless the law requires us to keep them longer, or we enter into an engagement with you, in which case the agreement for that engagement applies.
- Server access logs: about 14 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
How we protect it
We follow reasonable security practices, including:
- encryption (HTTPS) for every page and form submission, and an encrypted connection when messages are passed to our mailbox;
- a hardened server with restricted administrative access, a firewall and automatic security updates;
- spam and abuse protection on our forms, including request limits;
- access to messages limited to the people who need it.
No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you and give you a summary of it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, when we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for or a legal reason to keep it;
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.
To make a request, write to our Grievance Officer. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within one month.
Children
This website is meant for organisations and adults. If you are under 18, please don't send us your personal data without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we have received a child's data without that consent, we will delete it.
